Travel to Dachau

Dachau has access to 3 major freeways:

• Munich - Stuttgart (A8 exit Dachau-Fürstenfeldbruck)
  
  
• Munich - Nuremberg (A9 exit Neufahrn, via A92 exit Oberschleißheim/Dachau)
  
  
• Munich city ring (A99 exit Munich-Ludwigsfeld)

Dachau is located along the route Munich - Ingolstadt - Treuchtlingen - Nuremberg or Würzburg. Munich central train station provides access to all national and international destinations. Deutsche Bahn

There are two train stations in Dachau: Bahnhof - regional trains to Munich, Petersahsuen and Ingolstadt and Stadtbahnhof - only regional train SA2 - Dachau Altomünster.
The S-Bahn (regional train) S2 Munich - Dachau - Petershausen departs from Dachau to Munich every 20 minutes (from Dachau to Petershausen every 40 minutes). The trip to Munich takes approx. 20 minutes. The S2A branches off the regional train at Dachau train station to Altomünster via Markt Indersdorf (usually every hour). Munich or Augsburg Airport

• From Munich Airport: Freeway A92 direction Munich, exit Oberschleißheim/Dachau; or from the airport by S-Bahn (regional train)
  S1 or S8 to "Laim", there change to S2 direction "Petershausen" or "Dachau"

• From Augsburg Airport: Highway A8 direction Munich, exit Dachau-Fürstenfeldbruck
