With Christmas scents and Advent atmosphere the Christmas market invites visitors into the heart of Dachau‘s picturesque old town each year from December 1st to 23rd, daily between 3 and 8.30 p m.

Festively decorated and illuminated wooden huts nestle along the square in front of Dachau's town hall and a small stage features seasonal music performances every evening during Advent.

The aroma of roasted chestnuts and spiced hot drinks conjures up the festive season’s flair and savors. In addition to one or the other delicious snack, handicrafts such as tree ornaments and nativity figures are offered here. Handmade jewelry can be found as well as candles, organic soaps or warming knit wear and much more.

The daily raffle of attractive prizes from Bavaria's largest Advent calendar is another highlight. The proceeds from the ticket sales are donated to local charity organizations and institutions.
